Over the years, affiliate marketing has grown tremendously, and rightly so. Also known as performance marketing, affiliate marketing fully depends on performance. In other words, how much you earn depends on the number of visitors that click your affiliate link and follow the actions required for you to earn the credit/money. I’ll tell you a few reasons here why affiliate marketing is best.
But first; to shed some light on what I am talking about, let us start by defining what affiliate marketing is. Affiliate marketing is when a blogger, YouTuber and so forth, promotes a service/product by using a unique affiliate link on his/her website. However, a commission is only earned after a visitor clicks on the link and actually purchases the product.
Regardless, affiliate marketing doesn’t require as much effort as selling ads directly. Moreover, by connecting with the right affiliate programs and networks, you can easily grow your revenue.
Affiliate marketing works both ways; it benefits the affiliate (blogger/YouTuber) as well as the merchant (the company). If you are looking to get into affiliate marketing, check out these great reasons:
Low Risk
Affiliate marketing involves little to no risk at all. Of course, it all depends on how you go about it. You want to ensure that you are working with reputable/legit online stores and/or affiliate programs. Google tends to suspend sites that use sites that are not legal or reputable.
By joining good affiliate programs, you can lower your risk of getting involved with unscrupulous companies. Also, you are not investing any money when it comes to affiliate marketing. Hence, the risk of losing out or making a loss is non-existent.
Cost-Effective
Getting into affiliate marketing should literally cost you nothing. After carrying out research on reputable affiliate programs and networks, you can join them for free. These programs and networks will help you connect with advertisers that you can work with. I’ve been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for more than 5 years now, and it’s completely free to join – as it should be.
If you are an affiliate trying to reach out to a company to work with, ensure that you have a website first. A great place to start is here – I can show you step-by-step guidance on how to set up your website for free.
Any Measure of Success
For an affiliate marketer (like myself), they look to earn a commission every time a purchase is made through their affiliate links. It’s a win-win situation; the company gets increased sales, the affiliate marketer earns a commission, and the person buying into a product or deal gets great advice prior to making the purchase.
Brand Visibility
If you are a company that is using affiliate marketing, you can tremendously increase your brand awareness. By having bloggers, YouTubers and other social media gurus market your business, you increase your audience reach. Even if the visitors that come to their websites do not click on the link, they at least get to know about your business.
Infinite Earning Potential
The more established your website is, the better it will perform. This may take time, but by sharing reliable and helpful content, you will grow and establish an online presence. Also, you are likely to establish a relationship based on trust by sharing great and helpful products.
The more your audience trusts you, the more willing they are to click through to your recommendations (using your affiliate links).
In conclusion, affiliate marketing benefits all parties involved. The brand or company can increase awareness and visibility by working with content creators (newbies and well-known influencers alike). Affiliates or content creators, on the other hand, are able to earn some money by promoting a company’s products.
As always, I’d love to hear your feedback and questions. And if you want to get more information about the affiliate program I am a member of (and where I have learned everything I know about online business), please shout out!
Have a super day!
cheers,
Karina
It’s really nice to know you’re a member of Wealthy Affiliates .. I have also just started out with Affiliate marking with wealthy Affiliates and have just created my first website. Now I guess all that remains is to post contents with affiliate links to products .. Any recommendation on how to find affiliate programs relating to the content you post on your website?

That’s the very one reason I got into affiliate marketing is the extremely low investment price in it, all it mainly requires is time. I’m 21 years old and I work full time, the rest of it goes into my website of my own! I’m learning so much and I’m glad you brought up Wealthy Affiliate because if it wasn’t for them, I’d be short like $100 giving into an actual scam and come out learning nothing. The community over there has truly taught me a lot.
