So you’ve made the decision to start an online business and to build a website. What are you going to write about? What will be your niche? I believe the first step is to not over-think this process, as it really shouldn’t be so hard. In terms of how to choose a niche online, please choose one that you are interested in and will enjoy working with.

This is my honest Empower Network review – is Empower Network a scam or fraud?Have you ever watched an Empower Network promo video? If you are anything like me, then that itself would put you off. Having worked in traditional sales roles throughout my career, there is nothing that makes me cringe more than people that are trying to oversell you something that is sooo amaaaazing and you can see in their eyes that it’s just a spiel; nothing real. That’s how I felt when I watched the first EN video – I cringed, wanted it to stop.
When you start building your website, it is only natural that you want the site to have a great ranking in Google immediately. Website ranking is a way of measuring the importance of website pages, and is determined by counting the number and quality of links to a page. While it’s unlikely that your page gets 1st page ranking straight away, I will now guide you through some tips on how to improve SEO ranking in Google.
Google values unique and quality content. The use of keywords are key, however, please refrain from overusing them. In fact, Google will ‘punish’ you if you do so. Place the keywords in the 1st paragraph of your post or page, and then continue to write in a natural way. Aim for at least 400 words in each article. And ask for feedback or comments at the end of each post. These are all metrics that will improve your Google ranking.
For the first time in our lives, we were actually making money during the holiday. The hard work that we have put in on our website and our affiliate marketing project, is finally starting to pay off. Sure, we worked for a few hours every day during the holidays, but at least we went.
Having recently returned to Australia from 3 weeks in Norway to visit my family and friends, the biggest challenge this week has been battling jet lag. Flying across the world with a 2 year old is certainly not the most relaxing adventure either, but nothing beats a long big loving hug from my mum which I hadn’t seen in more than a year! In brief, we got to spend 2 weeks with my closest family, and a week with the best of friends.
I wanted to mention a few options out there for making money while travelling. Personally, we got there through our involvement with Wealthy Affiliate; however, there are other ways too.
As working parents ourselves, Nathan and I were faced with the common financial challenges while I was still on maternity leave; how do you now support a family of 3 on 1 salary, when we could hardly save anything at all being a 2-people-family on 2 salaries? The maths simply doesn’t add up. So for us, me going back at work wasn’t even a question. It was more a questions of how long we could stretch it before it was time for me to go back to the office…always wondering hot to get an extra income. We managed for 9 months, and I feel so blessed and lucky to have had the chance of being with our bub full time for that long.
Look, I am lying if I said it wasn’t challenging leaving Lucas crying his heart out at day care for the first few months, but I knew he was happy there (I always called to check 5-10minutes after I left, and he’d always stopped the crying and was happily playing) and we needed the money. I wish I had discovered the wonderful world of earning a living from home sooner, but thanks to Wealthy Affiliate we are now in a much better position to have a better work-life balance if we are to welcome a bubba number 2 (no, I am not pregnant yet;).
